    New member new boat :)

    G'day

Glad I could find this forum and proud to be part of it.
I purchased a 2017 Bayliner Element 16, with a mercury 75 HP and will collect it in the next few days.
It is used with 10 hours on the engine, looks great and I am really excited about it. What are your thought about it? Should I be looking for a specific issues when picking it up? I was hoping it comes with a Ski/Wakeboard tower arch, but it does not, is it easy to find and install? how much are they? I tried to find in Australia with no luck.

    Cheers

You can spend a wide range on towers, but keep in mind that theres no tubing for a tower if that's a frequent planned use.

a common option for outboard models is the TURBOSWING, which mounts at engine supports. You can ski, tube or board with them and ot keeps rope above the motor.

    much cheaper

      Welcome to BOC.

Glad you found a nice boat.

If you are new to boating/towing I encourage you to go to a big parking lot and practice backing up.

If you have experience with that already, make sure you have a spare tire for your trailer and some method of changing a flat on the side of the road.

If you have any other questions, ask them here...…..there are other Element owners that post messages here.
