    New Member 1988 Bayliner Capri-gctid819573

    Greetings,

After being on boats for pretty much my whole life, I finally broke down and bought my own.

Used but in very good condition 1988 Bayliner Capri 1950 BR.

The wife and I live in Western MD and have primarily had the boat out on the upper Potomac and Deep Creek Lake.

We plan to take it with us to OBX next month for vacation.

Glad to be here and am sure I will find lots of resources for my new toy!

Thanks Man! I cant complain. I picked it up for $3200 for boat and trailer. Everything is all original and garage kept. Motor looks like it just came out of the crate.

And it came with the running covers, trailer cover and all the ancillary gear like PFDs, oars, lines, etc... AND...2 spare props, never used.

All original titles and all records for the last 30 years. This thing was tuned and winterized every year even it it never went out!!!! They would just flush it and re-winterize it.

Might as well just keep it in the garage, unused and maintained for another 10 years and bust that baby through the stage at Barrett Jackson!! You never know!

Wow! You made a great find in beautiful condition! I just got a '89 Capri Cuddy that was also kept in a garage when not in the water. However it didn't get the annual maintenance yours did. You will have something to enjoy for years to come!

We are hoping so! Just needed to do some minor mods and additions to bring her into the 21st century.

First good test will be next week when we take down to Carolina.

That is a fine looking boat. The older Bayliners have such great lines, i like them better than the newer ones for sure.
