    New Guy, From Upstate NY-gctid750149

Hi everyone. I just joined the forums after lurking as a guest for a while. I'm on Cross Lake, a little body of water up in the Finger Lakes region of NY. I have an 88 Cobia w/ 5.7L OMC, and a 59 Lyman 13' runabout along with many a kayak. The Cobia is driving me nuts, and brings me to the forums but I'll keep reading before asking for input and try not to ask what has already been answered. I'm and IT guy specializing in wireless networking, and I also teach at Syracuse University and do a lot of freelance writing. Boating is my escape from technology, and even a quick kayak outing does wonders to help reset the mind.

Thanks in advance for having me.

Welcome Aboard. If you have come to seek information about Bayliners this is definitely the place. You live in a nice area that is great for boating. Good luck.

Thanks, everyone. Bartman, any chance you know my uncle Jerry Badman? Keeps his boat in Watkins Glen. Probably a long shot, but gotta ask

I might know by boat who he is. The name of the boat and what make and style. I am in South Seneca right across from Glen Harbor.

That is a pretty good definition of boating, escape from reality. I like it.
