    Sunbridge 3450 Holding Tank Dischange

    Hello -

Brand new here...just bought an 88 3450...really excited. This replaces my Carver 3257 that was totalled by a barge.

My carver had a discharge Yvalve in line with the pump out line. I noticed there is a discharge switch on the panel but I haven't looked close enough at the system to see if it is functional. Can't dump in the river of course, but, I do want it function as it also has uses when on blocks.

Anyone have experience with the 3450?

    Thanks!

Most Bayliners of this era had two independent ways to dump overboard:
    1. Y-valve connected to the toilet outlet hose, with one side of the Y going to the holding tank and the other side going to a thru-hull. This allows the toilet to pump to the holding tank or directly overboard.
    2. Macerator pump plumbed between the holding tank and a thru-hull. This allows the holding tank to be emptied overboard.
The switch you found is for the macerator pump.
