    Everybody loves a parade

More buffoonery from the Buffoon in Chief.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/trumps-pa...100004961.html

An interesting essay (with examples) speculating if the Trumpster is stuck in a world long gone.

I dunno, military formation and parade is pretty damn awe-inspiring. Especially if you have ever participated.

While serving I participated in more than a few parade formations No Big Deal. Most likely the problem with doing one today is that practicing for one takes time away from actual duties or off duty time. Over zealous Officers and Senior Enlisted in charge of the formations do not want a BLACK MARK on their careers if it does not go off perfectly.. One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb are people who are not in step during the March and Review.

The other problem of course is while there are a LOT of military bases around the White House they are very small and have none of the trucks, tanks, etc. that he probably wants to see. The time and expense involved just to get all those people and equipment there would be monumental not alone somehow closing down the streets and things that would be needed for that sort of thing. Even if it wasn't a ridiculous thing to begin with the logistics alone make it near impossible.

I know a lot of you guys love Trump, but does anyone actually think spending millions of dollars to do this is a good idea?

I.actually don't think it's a bad idea generally. However it depends on the circumstances and for me this parade doesn't qualify. I don't see spending $80 million is money well spent especially when the military could use it for more practical purposes. Also when we are borrowing a trillion $$ i would think maybe we should be a little more careful on what we spend.

Is the parade to show off the USA might or to glorify the all mighty leader, Donald?
Will there be 60’ high picture posters of Donald at every street corner with planted Trump supporters mixed in the crowd to trick Donald into thinking the majority of people actually love him?
I think I’ve seen this parade somewhere before, under a dictatorship regime.
