    Stop future illegals from coming.
Then let current illegals go home and apply for work visas from their home country, like everyone else has to.

The Dems want us to extend a policy for non-Americans to be educated free for the purpose of buying a million++ votes for the future elections. So they are using the budget bill as ransom..... The Dow is this country's economics barometer and its gone from about 17000 to 26000 under trump. Also added jobs. So the liberals bring up how a company is laying off employees as being due to Trumps tax incentive? Morons, they are being laid off because of the companies' performance BEFORE the tax thing. : lets worry about our citizens who made or are making it succeed: Older, retired workers; Military members and those who lost body parts and/or their lives; our unemployed (that is, those who want to work). Speaking of education, there is a shortage of Doctors right now which is going to get worse, much worse. The med student will go thru a quarter million $$ in collage and substance costs. The way student loans calculate interest, he may never pay it all bad, even at doctor's salary. Government: do something about it, NOW.

        No!

First off this discussion should not even be taking place as part of a short term funding solution.
To hold the entire budget hostage to protect people that came here illegally ( they dam well knew that what they were doing was illegal at the time) is really really wrong.

They would be at half capacity after we deported all the illegals in there.

So your vision of the economy moving in the right direction, is MORE IMPORTS, due to a high US dollar vs. other currencies (US companies can buy more products from other countries) and LESS EXPORTS (US companies sell less to other countries) of American MADE goods. You want to stick with that economic theory ?

That doesn't really help much considering that many, if not most, of those people in the military live from paycheck to paycheck and they have bills to pay. If it lasts long, they will feel screwed over by the Schumer shutdown.

The point that I’m making is, they WILL get paid. The Republicans are trying to trick their fellow Americans into thinking that the military will NOT get paid.
By the way, shutting down the government IS a good thing. Just ask Donald what he said about that a while back.

You're just another Canadian idiot. The US Military will NOT currently be paid on the 1st. Speak of things you know.

All military members have bills to pay, groceries to buy and gas to put in their cars to get their kids to school. They will not be paid in 9 days.

Kevin its really simple why, Trump's word can't be trusted. The man will tell you one thing then tell you the opposite 5 minutes later. They didn't even have enough Republicans vote for 51%.

Last March 20 the Government spending was at 118% I took a screen shot of the USA government debt clock. The debt clock yesterday was 138% spending. These are hard numbers from the government.

Sure, the people serving in the military will get paid, they just don't know when. In the meantime, they are left with financial and emotional distress. How do you think they feel worrying about how they will put food on the family table next month if they have no money to pay for it. No money for the rent, car payment and other bills either. How about the fact that their credit record could be hurt by the time this is straightened out. Financial problems often brings marital stress. There could be fallout from this for a long time. How can we expect them to function 100% in doing their jobs at protecting theis country when they are worried about all that?

Only partially correct oh wise one LOL "Without that legislation, known as the Pay Our Military Act, troops will receive partial paychecks Feb. 1 only for days worked prior to Jan. 20." https://www.military.com/daily-news/...-benefits.html So you only look like a partial idiot

Is that not what happens when unions force workers to go on strike.
Don't hear much cretinism of unions by Trumpsters.

When Unions go on strike, it is because their workers vote to do so. Also when unions go on strike, workers stop working, Not comparable at all to the Shumer shutdown.

Your post makes no sense. Even if you are 100% correct in what you posted it makes no sense.

I’ll put some words in bold text so that we can think them and possibly spur some memories of our our 8th grade social studies classes. I am not sure if you studied American Government in your classes in Canada, but here in this country it is mandatory to become versed in the functioning of our government my friend.

Congress needs to pass legislation, so that the president can either sign or veto it.

Right now Congress has failed to pass any legislation because some in congress want to add DACA protections to the short term funding legislation needed to keep our government solvent.

The DACA issue is not a budgetary issue, it is a overall immigration issue. Once Congress passes immigration legislation then the president can evaluate that legislation and either sign, or veto it. During those discussicions and negotiations that the president can indicate to congress his intentions regarding any proposed legislation regarding the important issue of immigration, and border security, which are intertwined and linked subjects.

Right not we need to conmtinue our government, and the Democrats are looking pretty dam stupid for holding the nation hostage to protect illegal aiens.
