Oh come on man. You know all those European socialists are just miserable. They are being denied high capacity assault rifles.

Looks like a CEO in Norway pays between 10 and 15% more in taxes over there than here. Kinda like why many high income folks in England leave there and come here.

          https://www.inc.com/magazine/2011020...nd-norway.html

when you have to give almost half of your earnings to the government, especially in a country like Norway where they don’t have a huge military budget to support, there is just something so wrong with that. It’s not Socialism, it’s Communism.

Do tell us about the miseries and threats to their lives that cause the people of Norway to line up for miles on miles, risking their lives to escape to freedom in America.

If you are ok with half your efforts going to support someone else, then by all means, head on over. I’m not quite that generous.

All the people that support you are ok with you. There is always someone that makes more than you, and pays more in taxes than you. Get over yourself.

Nope. I put at a more base level. Nobody supports me. I have never received public assistance, or subsidized health insurance, or subsidized college tuition, or food stamps, or any form of assistance from any governmental entity. Never collected unemployment or any form of income maintenance. And you have the B@lls to tell me to get over myself?

nobldy supports me and never has. I’ve supported myself for 67 years. Sounds like you can not say the same thing. I don’t give a shit if someone makes more than me and pays more in taxes. I’ve never gotten any benefit from the taxes they’ve paid.

I hope you make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year so you can fork over lot s of money to support all your liberal progressive friends.

Nope, no support came from the education system, the roadways that made your commute possible, the water system to bring water to your house, the sewers to take the shit away, the police force to prevent complete anarchy, fire departments to stop entire cities from burning to the ground, none from the regulations that created Accounting standards, or licensing of your trade to show that you were worthy of your trade and not some hack, nope none of that could have possibly provided any assistance in your utter and complete self reliance.

Without that support system generally regarded as society - you would have spent all day getting food and keeping shelter. I don't doubt that you worked to support yourself but you aren't living in a vacuum either.

No, especially not from the public education system. We owned a home in upstate Ny for 30 years. Paid school taxes on it every friggin year for the 30 years we owned it. And guess what? We don’t have any children so we never put $1of burden on the public school system. But we sure paid our friggin taxes to the tune of $3000 a year to run the district.
also paid my county and town taxes for
all those years, and they included the cost of the road system, snowplowing amd repaving. Didn’t use public water, we had a well that I had to pay for myself. Had to replace the water pump one time and it cost around $2000.
Didn’t have sewers. Had a septic tank and leach field which I had to pay for when we bought the house. No burden on the public shit system there either.
police were hardly existent in our community. That was part of my county taxes which I paid every year.
Fire department cost was part of our county taxes.
licensing of my trade. Well guess what? nY charges me $300 for a triennial license for the priveledge of being permitted to practice as a CPA within the state. Is that subsidized? I don’t think so.

You tell me to get over myself? I tell you to go jump off a cliff. You GD leftists think that the answer to everything is that somebody else needs to pay for it. Well, guess what? Not everybody’s life is that way, and those of us who have had to pay our own way deeply resent having to pay taxes to give liberal fools like you the ability to feel good about your largess.

Rick your school taxes did not come close to paying for your education.
