Nice to have that yellow tool for this kind of work. Good news, Jim.

So here is what $263 of hose clamps look like. I only use the AWAB or Scandvik clamps if I want to ensure they will work and not fail.

Yes, it sounds good. I have an issue with a shift cable that may require replacement. I'm going to replace the funky adapters at the engine end of the shift cables and readjust. After that I need to replace the window slider felt tracks, they are literally gone and the glass rattles in the wind. Beyond that move gear in and take her for a shakedown. Of course the ongoing thorough cleaning/detailing. Getting close!

Upper helm. New gauge panel, volt meters, Garmin 943 XSV, Ram mount, compass, cupholders, fuse panel and wiring cleaned up under. Dedicated positive and negative runs from battery to upper (and lower helms)...

Dedicated DC control center and battery charger relocated out of wet bilge and engine room to a drier, more accessible location.

And she floats and goes. Runs well and is propped correctly. Now on to compound buff and wax, detailing and more detailing. But first, load the fishing gear and enjoy our limited fishing opportunities.

Jim, impressive work on the DC panel, nicely done! Sounds like you’ve also had a successful shake down cruise, any cruising speed/rpm numbers you’d like to share?
I hear ya on our limited fishing, I plan to drop some pots starting in another 10 days.
                  😁🦐

Yes let me run her another weekend and I will share some numbers. At first glance surprisingly very similar to my 2556.

Very nice work! Love the wire upgrade.
Jim, any idea who owns the very nice 1990 2556 at Gate 9? At first glance, I thought it was your old boat, but it was obviously not, when I got close. Super clean, nice teak, aluminum hatch replacement in the v. Very well taken care of. I had not noticed it before today. Looking forward to seeing the 28 in person

Nice to put the two together. My boat is on OW (2) also on Gate 9. I'm down there most afternoons after 3pm. Come say hi when you can
My 2556 was super nice. Jim's 2556 was nicer. Glad to see you own a very, very nice specimen of this model.

Yes Tally, I've been watching Alex's work here and it is excellent. I'll wander by and check it out. We will be out in the islands Memorial Day weekend hope to see you around.
