Tyee Marina, Browns Point, Tacoma WA

Tyee is the third largest marina in the State of Washington, after only Shilshole Marina in Seattle and Port of Everett Marina. Tyee offers 1400 slips ranging from 25-100 feet in length. The marina is located just East of Browns Point, on your way to the Hylebos waterway. The marina also offers covered moorage, although that is a bit more difficult to get.

The amenities are standard, but they are not fanciful.

Bathrooms at the main office, Laundromat, Storage Sheds ranging from 3x4 to 10x6 in size, several pump-out stations, HUGE breakwater made of a floating bridge, and several large ships/barges.

Internet is available if you have a booster antenna, otherwise 4G LTE is your best choice.

The main appeal of this marina is that it is incredibly close to Tacoma, Des Moines (cheap fuel), and Gig Harbor. It also offers a great value due to the fact that the power is not metered but flat fee based. Additionally, the per foot moorage is the cheapest in Puget Sound based on my research.

Overall, a great place to spend some time and enjoy the nature.
