We have a 4788 pilothouse based in Seward Alaska.
This is Bayliner Country. There are more Bayliner Pilothouse boats in 50’ slips than any other boat, any brand, ( except the charter guys who prefer their Delta hulls)
If you are ever in Seward Alaska please stop by!
We have the first 4550 Bayliner built out of Georgia..we bought it in 1995 out of Florida, had it shipped to the Great PNW, it has been highly customized over the years. Knot Home (formerly Uluru) is a new to us 1998 4788. We hail from Sammamish WA. The boat is in Lake Union right now but once various projects are done and we do a south Sound cruise it moves back to Skyline in Anacortes.

Our 1997 Bayliner 4788 was purchased by us a little over a year ago. We are the fourth owner and are full time livaboards. We call her "No Plan" and to date have been cruising the SE United States and the Bahamas.
We bought our 1990 4588 in Sept. 2017. She originally came from the San Francisco Bay area, I assume she came up to the PNW on her own bottom, as there were courses and routes in the old GPS. At some point she came into Canada and has been here ever since. We brought her over to the Sidney area from the mainland when we bought her, and she has had very extensive refiting ever since. We’ve pretty much overhauled, rebuilt or renewed every system on the boat. We spent a few weeks in Sept. 2017 in Desolation Sound, and are heading for the Broughtons come June 2018. Now that we’ve invested in our future enjoyment we are so looking forward to getting out and using the boat! Hope to see fellow BOC’ers out on the water, and maybe we can swap a few sea stories!
Our motto: “Having no destination we are never lost!”

We looked at boats for over 5 years, the 4788 became the bench mark for comparison in our second year of looking and every year we kept coming back to the 4788 as the best value. The 6th summer when I started talking about looking again the wife said nonsense we know what we want and it’s not going to change, go buy it!
We bought our 4788 in Sturgeon Bay 2 years ago. After bring it home to KY. we spent the summer on it before starting the Great Loop. We are currently half way through this adventure and are looking forward to more adventures after we finish.
We bought our 2006 490 just over 3 years ago in Brookings Oregon. It was basically brand new and only had 125 hours on the engine. Had been on the hard in shrink rap before we got it. Since then we have had it in Portland a year where we cruised to the Canadian Islands and of course the San Juans, then South the Sausolito for a year, and now just over a year in San Diego. Farthest South we have been so far in Ensenda Mexico and absoululy love our 490! We never owned a big boat before but soon learned how to handle it strictly by trial and error!
1990 4588 Bayliner, purchased March, 2015 in Ladysmith, BC; brought down to Cap Sante, Anacortes and we piloted home to Deception Pass Marina, Cornet Bay, Whidbey Island. Have been to Alaska twice and many cruises between! Have enjoyed it immensely and plan to go to Alaska this next spring/summer. We LOVE Ketchikan and the many other places in SE Alaska!
