I love Ketchikan and a lot of people there, but it has to be one of the most boring towns in Alaska, unless you are fishing. The worst restaurant food (excluding those who have sovereign rights), and one of the most tourist-centric towns in the world. The cruise ships lease a majority of the shops in that end of town and sell crap to the tourists that they bring into town. Every car has a green side. The salmon are big there because it rains so much there, they can get upstream to easy natural hatcheries. If you got lost on that island, and died from hunger, it would be from stupidity, or because you messed with a bear.

Gentlemen, I am making way from Ketchikan to Prince Rupert. My expected arrival is 1700 hours.
Enviroment Canada is calling for seas 1m or less in the eastern Dixon Entrance.
I had a great harbor day in Ketchikan yesterday. Got caught up on several maintenance items including a failed center windshield wiper, which had leaked since new due to the factory locating it at the wrong location.
I also traded off my skiff yesterday and got a new, more functional one better suited for beaching.
You can take the man out of Alaska but not the Alaska out of the man.
I kind of want to go that way with our dingy for practical purposes but I just can't do the aesthetic.

It was something I was planning to do when I found the perfect skiff for beaching. My YL340 at something over 700 pounds was just too much to drag around.
I was looking at alumanium as an alternative, and found this really high quality Marlon skiff which the commercial folks seem to prefer.
I put a 6 hp simple yamaha motor on it and am pretty happy!
Lightweight and indestructible is the key to skiff happiness I think.
Great skiff & motor choice. Might want to think about dinghy wheels too - the make it vastly easier to move it around solo on shore,

Looks like another fantastic day on the water! Do you have any pictures of your windy/wavy afternoon on 5/9 (Clarence straight?)? Safe Travels today and yes, nice skiff - I too have thought about aluminum and simple! That should do very nice in Mexico, get some flip down wheels and your all set!

I thought about it it and really just do not want the trouble. Taking video means editing video, and I'm just not that interested.
Here is my RPM vs FF chart running 24x24 props, Just had them re-pitched to 24x23 and need to update - how do these numbers compare with yours Kevin? (24x21?) + (flowscan data)
Those numbers are near-match to my 4788 with 22" pitch props via floscans (and many years of crunching the data at fuel ups).
Another column you might consider adding is nmpg, to give another perspective of fuel burn.
For me, 9 knots (1550rpm) gets me 1.34 nmpg and 16 knots (2525rpm) gets me .7 nmpg
Most of those are just the Cummins book numbers for my 330's but good to know you show similar via floscan. I just guesstimate my burns with each trip so I have an idea how much fuel to load when I fuel up. I would be interested in seeing/using your chart, the NMPG figure would be great to have and I could maybe adjust based on my actuals.

I don't keep a chart. Over time I have just learned the various speeds I want/like to run at. I also have my floscans tied into the Garmin, so it outputs NMPG real time which helps me know if I'm bucking currents too much or getting a push and need to slightly adjust my running speed for better efficiency.
From your data, the NMPG is pretty close to what I typically see:
