    Finally!

Finally spending a night on the boat on the water right here in town, in case anything goes terribly wrong. So far, so good!

Got the AC going in the form of a window shaker unit. Works. I'm going to sew a boot for it.

Enjoying a cold one. My daughter is dipping her feet on the swim platform..

Just made a reservation in South Haven, MI, for Friday, Oct. 1st and Saturday, Oct. 2nd for my boat. Friends Good Will, a replica tall ship that I volunteer on, is down-rigging for the winter and I'm going to work Saturday helping them. I will spend the night on my boat Friday night and Saturday night. Looking forward to it! I doubt I will need the AC then.

Twenty-five miles one-way, Navionics says 1 hour, 40 minutes, but I'm sure I'll take a little longer. Not sure I'll cruise at 20 mph all the way up.

I'm doing my final sail as crew on the 24th, and my family and I are going to sail as guests on the 25th. In the picture below, I'm at the bow with the black neckerchief.

First "big" trip in the boat. Going up to South Haven to work on the sailing vessel Friends Good Will, downrigging her for winter. The weather today is great - Sunday for the trip home, not so much. Oh well, that's what the trailer is for.

Heading down the channel out to the big lake.

The lake was darn near perfect.

At the dock in South Haven. The boat next to me is a 2252 Ciera Express..

This will also be the last trip of the season as she'll be going into winter storage soon.

It was a combo of a bad throttle cable and the shift cable being in the wrong hole. I'm still using the original (to me, at least) controller. Amazon refund on the new controller was easy peasy. I picked up 400 rpm and 4 mph, but there may be more. I hit 4,200 rpm (WOT is 4-4,400), so I'm right where I need to be. GPS speed was 36 mph.
