Bummer, looks like they were attempting to enter the harbor from the east, if the tide was up it completely covers that reef. Been through there a few times with the help of Navionics.
Rutherford started a Gofundme account. As of Saturday, April 24th, the account raised $14,233. But Rutherford is asking for $1.5 million in funds to fix Wayne’s former yacht.
Apparently the boat is insured but the insurance company is refusing to pay??
Also says they updated the plotter the night before and it didn’t show the reef.

I was reading another discussion about this - I will say this from reading it. I would stay away from donating to the gofundme. The GPS update is a false flag. I get skittish about going through that entrance in my dinghy.
I watched the diver video of investigation of the hull and the keel has basically broken free all along the boat. - It is a goner and I bet it is going to be our derelict vessel dollars from our tabs that remove it from the reef.
Just read an update - Owners pulled the anchors and let it drift away. My hunch on the derelict dollars looks to be pretty good. Definitely stay away from donating.
Rumor has it the owner got a call from the CG that his boat is now floating in " Haro strait"...Seems fuel/ oil and any hazardous materials were off loaded and due to a high tide it floated off the reef.....the "DUKE" lives.......as stated above this is a rumor I've not checked with CG on this yet.
Well as of 8:00 am this morning it's back in U.S. waters just off west side of Henry Isl. Maybe it's trying to get back to Roche Harbor he spent summer's around there.
