Thanks all, It is a nice day here on the boat, doing a little winterizing, watching some baseball and having leftover turkey from yesterday.

We actually had our Thanksgiving last week because the Admiral's son was here after a 7 month deployment in the Ukraine. He is a Sgt. in

1 Combat Engineer Regiment out of Edmonton. He was training new Ukrainian recruits in "Blowing $hit up 101".

Happy to have him back home.

Had the perfect Thanksgiving. Fished Coho's out on Juan de Fuca. 8 on, kept 3. Had a new transplant from Calgary with us. Heading into the Race, he got to photograph a cruising Humpback Whale. I told him if we were even luckier might see a Nuc Sub being escorted in. He had never seen a submarine. And what should appear a half hour later. Yup. Things we sometimes take for grant when seen thru the eyes of a rookie inspire us all. Happy Thanksgiving. Ted

Had a similar experience when my brother was here. He too lives in Calgary, and growing up on the prairie, never been on the ocean except for a cruise ship, He had his eyes opened wide to see how we live here. Didn't see any humpbacks, but the ocean was like glass, and the fish were biting. Awesome experience for both of us.
