Which McGuard locking set do you mean, the one for the bravo 3 or Bravo 1 ? Just got my prop back, left the under platform ladder down and dinged up the blades. Looks like new after a $200 rebuild. Had to wait 2 weeks for a new nut and tab washer from Marine max. My kid picked them up and they ordered the right nut but not the lock tab washer, instead a split lock washer for a 3/8" bolt. I guess this mercruiser parts man had his head where the sun is not when he ordered them. You would think he would of noticed that this could not fit the nut!!!! I called McGuard and they told me it was not worth making Bravo 2 lock nuts due to low demand. Probably do not realize they can be cut.
The one for the BIII (#74053). The guy at our local prop shop actually did mine for free. Works like a charm and the cool stainless prop never got bothered.
