1990 4588 helm volt meter shows house battery voltage when ignition off

I recently purchase a 1990 4588 and this year when cruising noticed that the starboard volt meter for both the bridge and flybridge show the house batter voltage when the ignition of off. Is this typical? Or is there an electrical issue I need to investigate?

This is normal (as designed) it allows you to monitor the house battery bank which is also charged by the starboard alternator. It is in the motoryacht owners manual among other items..if you don't have one you can download from Bayliner.

Thank you for the reply. I do have the owners manual, but didn't see that.

It’s buried in some detail at a point where one runs out of patience reading a technical document.
