Anybody own an aftermarket Alpha 1 Gen 2 alignment tool?

Prices for the Sierra and OEM alignment tool are pretty high.

This one from MBS Manufacturing is about 50 bucks (incl S&H) via Amazon

Anybody bought and used this one on a +/- 2000 to 2018 Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 to check alignment?

    Thanks!

I paid $100 for mine. Handy as heck but since I don’t have outdrives anymore i ought to sell it. It’s heavy, so shipping might be a killer.

The MBS unit via Amazon is about 27 bucks plus 20 for shipping.

It's just a big precision sized solid steel pole!

I bought it over twenty years ago, and your right, it’s just a precision bar. It’s that precision part that makes it cost more.

Mine specs out the same as the one in your amazon link. Used it today in fact. It works great. Like you say it’s just a precision lathed steel bar.

          Ordered mine from Amazon.

It will sit in the basement for a couple of years before I use it.

I was concerned that the company could be impacted by COVID issues and I did not want to regret passing it up in mid 2020.
