    Steering cable replacement bayliner 2556

Probably discussed before but her we goes. Will change cables and pinion on both bridge and cabin. Getting the cable out of the hole on the fly bridge was hard, but when first routing it through the inspection hatch it was much easier( see the picture). Can also confirm both cables are identical length and if understand the marking correctly its 21ft. Now only need to find a cheap online shop to buy 2 full sets. Actually would like to go to hydraulic but too expensive this time, spending so much on this I don't even want to count.....

I did unscrew the nut but it is impossible to pull the rod out.
    Thanks for your help.

You’ve pulled the pins at the end of the rods? If so and they are seized you may need to apply some penetrating oil along with some heat to break them free.

Should be able to see the end of the cables there also. They could be rusted up in there. Click image for larger version
