I am presuming that the black marks are worse on the monkey fur, and the marks are particularly dark in corners, or joins in various panels. In these circumstances, the problem is due to the high volume of air being sucked through the fabric, usually caused by the engine air intakes where the air has taken a path of least resistance. Shockingly, the stains are from impurities in the air.

These marks can be cleaned with a number of household products, and I have found that Folex cleaner works well, but the only real cure is to seal the gaps through which the air is being pulled.

    Interior black marks/intake modification.

    Hi All,
looking for advice or an old thread about getting rid of the black marks in my 3587 interior, what are they from? I seem to remember an air intake modification that is supposed to help this issue. Any help much appreciated. Thanks
