    My Capri Swims-gctid409072

My '86 Capri (4 cylinder Volvo AB125Q) swims at low speed. Awhile back I replaced the steering head and cable with 'no feedback steering'. It has very few hours on it. When leaving our local marina we have to travel about 3/8ths of a mile at 5mph. It travels straight if I leave the steering wheel alone but if you look at the water behind it just waves from right to left.

    Thanks-

All v-hull boats wander at low speed. You can mitigate this by running with trim tabs down and the drive trim all the way in. But as you found, it really just goes straight if you don't fight it.

Vibrations could be caused by a damaged prop, check it for imperfections, bends, broken ends, even bad bearings. Also if im not mistaken (and i probally am because im new to boats myself) isnt there a type of vibration damper within the out drives themselves? I would start takin a looksy =)
