High Oil Pressure, Bayliner 185BR Mercruiser 3.0

I am a bit of a rookie at boat ownership. Bought a 2006 185 BR last year. It runs great. Normal oil pressure reading is 45-60. Last time I was out it went to 70 and fluctuated between 70-75 psi. Not much difference at idle. Same readings when it was cold. Any advice would be appreciated!

Slap a mechanical pressure gauge to test.

Agree use a mechanical gauge to verify. If it reads the same the oil pumps pressure relief valve is sticking.

You could T in a gauge and leave it.
