    Ball mount height-gctid406464

I just installed a new coupler, and found that when connected the tongue of the trailer is 1 inch higher than the end of the trailer. Is this an issue at all... is it worth it to buy a new ball mount that is an inch lower? The trailer is a double axle for a 2452.

If the trailer suspension is leaf sprung, being a tab bit un-level is not an issue, per 'se.

(the rocker arm system acounts for some degree of un-levelness)

However, if the suspension is torsion, then keeping the frame level becomes rather important.

(tandem or triple torsion axles do not load share as do leaf suspensions)

It is torsion. I'm just wondering if 1" change from front to back justifies a new $45 ball mount. As with anything on the boat, I'll pay what I need to to make things right/safe.

If you are talking 1" difference over the entire length of the trailer than I would say it's a mute point.

Depending on what you use for a tow vehicle, you can have that much plus / minus just from load variables in your truck / car.

I wouldn't sweat one inch, but if you have a short rise/drop mount, you may be able to turn it over and make the difference.
