    Newbee Questions-gctid404770

Just bought a 2455 with 5.8 OMC Cobra. Noticed that the exhaust bellow has cuts in it on the high point of every corrigation the length of the bellow.

    1. The fact that it is on every one and that the rubber seems in good shape made me wonder if this is how it was made?

    2. When I turn the steering wheel I hear a grumble in the rearend. Not sure if that is normal for these or not especialy with the auto pilot. What do all of you pros think?

    Thanks,

    RG

    1. no idea, the exhaust bellow on a merc isnt really necessary. I dont hve a connecting bellows on my bravo2, just a tube with an open end. I dont know if OMC is the same?

    2. Sounds like a gimbal bearing failing to me.
