    MERCRUISER PROP DIFFUSER RING

After wondering why the "diffuser ring" had dropped off my mercruiser prop (not uncommon), I called the Mercury folks and asked if it was possible to get a new one. The answer is YES. Just wanted to pass along that if anyone has a Black Max aluminum prop with a 4.25" hub diameter, the Mercruiser part number is 45676T for a new aluminum diffuser ring. Technician was very helpful (it wasn't easy for him to find). Google brings up lots of resources to get them for 6 to 16 bucks.. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Thanx for the update. Both mine were loose when I bought our boat so I had them tack welded in place.
