    Sierra or Quicksilver water pumps?

I am going to replace the engine water pumps on the 3055 I just purchased, 1 is leaking badly and the other is seeping. Are the Sierra ones any good or should I just get the Merc ones? I will also be rebuilding both sea pumps I am going to go with the Merc parts for those.
    Thanks for any advice.

the OEM parts are likely made by sierra... they are a quality supplier of a lot of parts to all makes, models and brands of marine engines and drives.... if you were to buy 1 quicksilver and 1 sierra, side by side you couldnt tell them apart.... its your money and its your boat so spend the money where it suits you.... personally, when there is an aftermarket equivalent, and its almost half the price, you can bet im going to be saving money..

Sierra is good. If you have closed cooling it doesnt even mater if its a marine water pump.
