Oil in the water when engine running

Hi guys

Every time I start my engine, there are oil bubbles behind my boat. It's no the green oil from the leg, as the reservoir is still full.
Mechanic said it maybe the oil cooler problem.
Any hint will be greatly appreciated, guys!

But to be on the safe side, check the oil dipstick for high oil level and milky appearance and for mayo appearing deposit under the valve cover. If you see this, then remove all the plugs, disable the ignition and crank the engine over. If water shoots out of any of the plug holes then you have to find out why and get the milky oil out of the engine and water out of the cyls.

Op's post is regarding an oil sheen (oil bubbles) on the water behind the boat while running.
95 should be a carbureted engine.

Most likely either the oil cooler if equipped as not all engines have one or power steering cooler.

Are you sure it is oil? You could be getting excess fuel and it would exit thru the exhaust and would cause a sheen on the water.

Since you said bubble I also thing this might be it. Does this only happen when you first start the boat? If so it might be just a rick condition when first started.

That's the first place I'd look as well.

My carb's engine ran very rich when it first started. Over choked. There was a sheen that didn't happen if the choke was full open.
Describe 'bubbles' I had a trim tab leak that definitely looked like bubbles. I'm not sure we know what bubbles we are looking at.

oil does not generally make or leave bubbles on the water, but will leave a rainbow sheen... a rich mixture of fuel can make bubbles.... not from the fuel directly, but from the soot that gets produced. soot bubbles are common when an engine is being over fueled... and it makes the transom nasty with residue.. not an oily residue, but a black, staining residue.

next time drop a bucket and pull up a sample .

smell it, i too believe its fuel why is there fuel ?

one or more plugs not firing maybe, plull the plugs find wet ones ?

no compression on a hole maybe.
