    Teleflex gauges-gctid399920

Want to update my helm this winter and started to look for the best way to do it (you can tell, weather is bad).

My plan is to rip out the speedo and install a VHF with speed display instead. Nothing better than a GPS speedo! As Teleflex makes nice looking gauges and have a 3" instead of a 4" tach (as Faria) I was thinking about switching all gauges to Teleflex Arctic (like white better). Unfortunately I have zero experience with them. Are they worse or equal or better than the Farias?

No space in the helm is a major issue for this modification.... Yeah and the faux wood has to go!

    Thanks!

I don't know. But i did buy a set of the teleflex premier white gauges. The original gauges have a grey background and a silver pointer (and they do fog up). Trying to read these gauges while bouncing around at 30+ mph is near impossible. The premier white have a bright white background and a fluorescent red pointer. I should be installing them within the next couple of weeks. The new ones are about 1/16th in diameter larger then the original. The original gauges have a modular connection that is not that snug. Nor will the modular connection match up to the teleflex posts. I will be using o ring terminals with heat shrink adhesive liner. A lot more secure and waterproof then original.

Thanks Gregg! Can the already installed senders/sensors be used with the Teleflex as Bayliner uses Faria?

I actually like two of the Telefex lines: Arctic (all white) and Driftwood (white with black bezel). They look very similar to the Faria Euro's.

I contacted Teleflex, prior to my purchase of gauges, they said the existing sending units are compatible with Teleflex gauges.

great and thanks! Hopefully they knew what they were talking about. Now I only have to find out which of the trim gauges is the correct one but that's most likely just an email to Teleflex. My dash layout works a lot better with a 3" tach instead of the 4" Faria. The only negative difference is that Faria basically has a lifetime low cost repair or even free but all gauges except for the tach are
