Im looking at swopping the current 6.2 asparated v8 diesel.for the Volvo Penta AQ271a Petrol engine.

Would this be a striaght forward engine swop on to the bravo 3 outdrive ?

The diesel can maintian 8 knots but with fleetwoods tides it is slightly lagging in power.

The AQ271 appears to be a small lock Chevrolet. I believe the Detroit Diesel Mfg. 6.2 diesel used in GM light trucks uses the same bell hausing pattern as both the small block and big block gas engines. The flywheel and torsional damper however will be different. You will have to research propellers, and the stern drive ratio could be different. The gas engine will be lighter and will have more power but fuel consumption will be higher.
