    Dual helm Steering-gctid825507

Hello, I am in the process of restoring a 1978 Victoria FB and I installed a newer Volvo Penta 570 DP with dual prop. The VP has power assist steering (PAS). I connected the two steering cable like this in the picture. The lower helm cable goes into the PAS actuator, the upper helm cable connect on the opposite side. The lower steering works great, turns with a finger while the upper wheel turn with it. But when I try and turn from the upper helm I get nothing. All steering wheels/cables turn fine disconnect and you can turn the out drive by hand.

Does anyone know how the PWS works? And or any ideas on what I can do?

    Thanks Kelly

On my old Chris Craft, there was a T-handle on the helm that I had to pull out to change the helm steering to the flybridge. You may have the same.
