Our cockpit refrigerator is running but no cold. Sounds like the compressor is working, tried on and off shore power and the result is the same. Has anyone had a similar experience. This boat is now 10 years old. Our 4th boat purchased new with Norcold refrigerators and the first time we have had any issues. Thanks for your input. Griff.

Take the frig to a refrigeration repair shop and have it purged then re-filled with a very slight amount over the specified amount of refrigeration coolant, did this to my Norcold and it will freeze ice cream solid, and has ever since the late 90's

If its running there is only one thing I can think of that you might try before professional help.
Remove it and see if the back is plugged with anything. It has to be clean so hot air can get away. Bayliner has been lax in providing ventilation in many boats and it wouldn't take much to prevent its cooling.

Thanks, guys. A number of boaters had suggested that we should replace the unit with a 110 volt refrigerator and forget about the dual voltage setup. Has anyone heard of a 110 volt unit that is easily adaptable? Thanks. Griff

The 110 volt will require an inverter when you are away from shore power. Also most small 110 volt dorm style refrigerators dont have mounting provisions and the compressors are not made to be bounced around. There is a reason the Norcold and similar brands cost as much as they do. In the end you get what you pay for.
