    Disappointing day

Last time I used my boat, I got caught on a submerged dock near the boat ramp when putting in. Finally worked my way free and proceeded up stream for 30-45 minutes no problem. A bit of scraping heard on that dock but very little superficial damage to skeg and prop when pulled out. It's been a couple if months due to work travel and today was first day since.

Traveled at idle speed the several miles down to main Ohio river after off load and then planed off to about 35 mph for five minutes then got missing and loss of power. Idled back, all ok. Can idle all day long...and did, but above about 2000 rpm missing and loss of power. No audible alarms and only gauge anomaly is low temp...say 125F, although the scale is not linear so hard to tell. Will pull out first thing tomorrow and visually inspect, but don't really expect to see anything. Thermostat and impeller replaced during the off season.

Any ideas or speculation welcome, but this looks like the end of my very short season...

    Bummed.

Clean the fuel delivery system start at the tank suck the gunk and junk off the bottom of your tank and follow the hose to the filter and so on till you reach the fuel rail.

Make sure your vent is clear.

Thanks chief...did think about fuel issues, but wouldn't the doggone engine warm up enough to open the thermostat moving at a fast idle for 40 minutes?

That's what happened last year to me. Must still have some pea gravel in the cooling system...boats.

If that kept happening to me and i knew it was at the launch area, i would " pole " my boat away from the dock before starting it up.

I kept a long pole net for just that and warding off boats, and of course the larger fish

just never got it all out of the system after a grounding on a gravel bar. I bought a spare!

                  +1 top what Chief said.
Fuel system/filters etc, then check thermostat for debris.
