    Vacs flush toilets no power.-gctid821479

2001 3788 with vacu flush seal and toilets has no power to either head.

Water will not drain from bowl on either head.

Plunger and hand in bowl showed no clogs.

    Any help would be great.

This is a new boat to me and is on the hard so don't have much more info.

The holding tank does not show full.

    All batteries are charged

    Breakers are all in.

Could the system have an inline breaker or fuse.

    Thanks

No inline fuse from the factory.

My bet is that there is a breaker off in your panel. Our 4788 has two brerakers marked FWD head and AFT head. Betting your 3788 does as well.

We have a 2001 3788 and only have a single head, didn't know there was an option for two heads?

On ours to have the head operate we must have the two DC switches in the On position:

      FWD Head

      Potable Water

Of course the main DC switch must be on as well.

Some of the best areound. http://www.marinesan.com/4809-vacuflush-s/152.htm

I don't know what model you have, but it might get you going. There might be a switch, probably around the lower Helm or in the heads that turns on the vacuum.

        I just guessing.

My breakers to my Master-flushes are both hidden on a wall in the equipment room where the Hot water tank is...You might try looking there?

                Searched for hours

The pumps work with dc power to them so it's got to be a fuse or switch Im

                missing

                Thanks

Nothing popped on the main panel

I only have the switches to turn the toilets

                  on

No power at the pump or switch

I'm not familiar with how that system is wired, however, my feeble logic is that if you can bypass the switches and have the pump operate, but the switches don't have power, I gotta ask how and where are the switches connected to the pump? Seems to me that for most of these things the switch harnesses are usually pugged into some sort of controller panel. The connection might be to a pigtai, but if you can identify the switch wires, that are probably activating a relay on the controller, and jump the connections and get activity, it could be as simple as a bad connection. Some plugs are more sensitive than others. If you have a schematic, or even a model number so some of us can maybe find a schematic, it would help a lot.

I phoned sealand and was advised that the motors are an issue

I connected a battery to the motors and both worked.

I found a windless breaker popped so may focus on that

I was also told some bayliners will shut pumps off if tank is full.

Tank watch is not showing full ?

The toilets are not on a breaker. I pulled the main panel and I found 2 fuses on brown and yellow wires direct wired to the do bus bar

Odd but the springs in the fuse holders were weak and both toilets had poor connections.

New fuses and good to go.

Why would they install such an expensive toilet and run it off a 10 cent fuse.

                        Thanks for the help

Thanks for posting Yoeman. I have the same boat and will make a mental note....good to know in case I run into the same problem. Btw, I don't know if you've encountered this, but the vacuum generator for the main head keeps cycling. I'm going to change out the duck bill valves for starters; any advice in case you've had the same problem?

                          Thanks,

On my previous boat, a 3988, there were fuses, 10 amp I believe, located near the pumps in the cave accessed by removing a panel in the second stateroom. The water heater is also located in this area. As far as the pump continuing to cycle on a vacuflush system......quite often a bit of paper gets caught under the bowl seal at the bottom of the bowl. If you find the residual water in the bowl gone and the vacuflush cycling, take a toilet brush and clean that seal. I found this happens with some regularity.
