Simple, dumb question. I just bought a used Bayliner 2050 with a 5.7 litre Mercruiser engine. I can't find the oil filter. I see the fuel/water separator, but no oil filter.

It's in the rear port side location tucked up next to the rear of the oil pan, unless you're lucky and have a remote unit. Same place as every Chevy small block since 1955....
