I have a 1994 Capri 2050 4.3L/Weber 4bbl that the starter has gone bad on. Vendors list starters with a 3 1/4" and 2 7/8" end cap model- is there any way to tell the difference without pulling the starter? Also part # 50-863007A1 seems to replace both...will this starter work in either case?
Thanks, Gerry

This is the first I/O for me and I have another question...the current starter is the original one- how prone are these bolts to breakage on removal? I have changed numerous starters on vehicles in the past and never had an issue. Any suggestions before I dive in is more than welcome!
Edit: I just loosened the bolts no problem, waiting for another set of hands now.
