    Carburator Issue Idle Problem-gctid820194

Had the boat out 4th of July and ran great. Went on vacation for 3 weeks (not on the boat) and now the boat has an idle issue. If in neutral idling at 800 RPM when put into F or R idle is to low and stalls. If you adjust in gear to idle speed and return to Neutral the idle jumps to 1600RPM. Carb is a 1 year old Edelbrock marine 1409. Timing is good, haven't done anything else yet. Suggestions?

May be unrelated to the carb. Check plugs, wires, and cap/rotor for bad corrosion or bad connection. Could be your just misfiring on one cylinder.

Good call Dave. Found a cracked plug so replaced them all. Helped but still didn't cure the problem. Ordered a new cap and rotor.
