    spark is there, sounds like.

pour a bit of gas down to the carb throat, flame arrestor back on,

see if she will start momentarily.

    2004 3.0L TKS Merc cranks but won(39)t start....-gctid820123

Boat has not been started in 2 years it was winterized properly and 5 gallons of sta-bil gas put in. Went out today sucked out all that old gas, changed the fuel/water separator filter (filled it with fresh gas). Put 4 clean and properly gapped plugs. Engine cranks but won't start. Connected timing light to coil wire and it flashes. Disconnected fuel line and cranked it, fuel sputtered out. I believe it's not getting fuel. I got the idea of blowing air back down the line from where the fuel line goes into the carb. Does anybody think this is a good idea? I'm searching this site for ideas and other places as well. I don't know where to go from here. I think it's the TKS carb.
