    Oil Gauges Reading High-gctid819414

Both my Starboard and Port Oil Gauges are reading high (Around 80) when I push the throttle, but gauges go back to normal (at around 40) when just at idle. Any ideas why this is happening. I have a 2000 Bayliner Ciera 3055.

Mine does that too. Only concerned if it drops.

Glad to hear, I was really worried about this. Also my Speedometer seems to be off also. Sometimes does not work at all. Any ideas on this?

The OEM pitot tube speedometers are often inaccurate and can become non functional from being clogged up with salt deposits or debris. Look to clear the small hole in the leading edge of the lower unit, it'll be about 5-6" below the cavitation plate.

My gauge reads almost nothing at idle and 40 or so at cruise...

Its always scared the crap out of me, but its always been that way. Just a crummy gauge
