    These GIF's aren't 100% correct for every engine (e.g. there are no turbo chargers or aftercoolers present) but gives you the basic idea of how they work in a general sense.

      Thanks for posting these. I'm always looking for animations to use with my Marine Engine Maintenance students.

      BTW. the 2-stroke timing is a bit off. The fuel/air charge should start being drawn into the crankcase as soon as the piston uncovers the port on the upstroke.
