I've heard stories of how great this stuff is. I've also hears that it can harm the seals in a carburetor. I don't want to mess up the seals on my 2-bbl on my 3.0L Mercruiser. Anybody have any experience/opinion on this stuff? Thanks Joe

Great stuff, remove all the rubber, let soak overnight.

Agreed 100% great for cleaning metal carb parts before rebuilds.

If memory serves me well it is mostly high flash solvents like acetone , toluene , and methanol.

Joe, some of the better carburetor cleaners contain MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).

MEK is great for stubborn deposits, etc. However, prolonged contact may harm certain composite components.

In other words...... if this one contains MEK, I'd use it on a disassembled carburetor only.

If you simply need to spray clean an assembled carburetor, pick up a cleaner that does NOT contain MEK.
