    Depth gauge-gctid817179

When I power on the depth gauge on my 89' 2050 Arriva it beeps and then just flashes "0", I'd like to get it working- any ideas on whether its a gauge issue or transducer problem? Through-hull transducer I assume since there is nothing mounted externally.

    Welcome!

Is the boat in the water? If not this may be normal as they do not work unless the boat is in water!!!

Find the transducer first. Maybe there isnt one. Another thing if it is in fact not working its probably best easiest to just buy a entirely new set up.

Boat IS in the water when this happens, and yes, I was just contemplating a new set-up unless there was an easy fix. Really don't want something mounted externally, any issues using a through-hull setup?

Find the transducer and see if the wire is connecting it to the gauge?
