Engine Gauges on Garmin 741xs NMEA2000 Chartplotter-gctid815912
Engine Gauges on Garmin 741xs NMEA2000 Chartplotter-gctid815912
Anyone know if this will work with my boat? I already have the NMEA2000 set up, just need to know what I need to view my engine gauges on my chartplotter.

Your engine has analog inputs. In order to convert these to NMEA 2000 you need one of these: http://www.nolandeng.com/rs11.php
Thank you. So, each gauge connection just plugs into this? No other sensors needed?

Correct, the RS211 can connect directly to the gauges. It also has tachometer inputs and these connect directly to the tach. You'll need a laptop and a USB printer cable to program the unit.

My intention is to move the 741xs up to where the 198C is to use mostly for the engine stats, then pick up a 10" or 12" chartplotter to take its place. The tach is intermittent, yet the signal seems to be continuous, so I'm hoping this will fix the problem. Also, the fuel gauge reads beyond full until the level drops below ÔàØ of a tank, then it reads ┬¥. I don't know if this will fix that problem, because it may need a new sender. The speedometer quit last trip out, though I never use it anyway. The oil pressure gauge also reads high - at least, it appears too read high, as you can see on the far lower left, even after new oil and filter.
Again, thanks.
