Power goes off even that I am attached to dock power-gctid815512

We have a Bayliner 4588. Recently we started to lose power even though we where still attached to dock power. The solution is as simple as turning the rotary jumper switch to on for about 30 minutes and then we turn off and all is good for another day or so. Have no idea what is being flipped and why the jumper switch would reset it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds to me that you have an issue with your shore power supply. As in something is overloading the circuit.

Don't know the larger boats, but does this rotory switch closing allow the AC current to pass onto the on board charger? Sounds like your running off DC current and running the batteries down and flipping the rotory switch on is allowing the on board battery charger to recharge your batteries for another day or so. Perhaps the rotory switch is supposed to stay in the on possition while connected to shore power.
