what blower motor should i replace my broken one with on a 1985 2550 ciera sunbridge

Most any good brand "squirrel cage" style bilge blower motor will work best....... especially if you prefer to run your blower motor while under-way.

Try to avoid the "turbo" or "in-line" style motors. They are noisy, and they typically do not last as long.

    Say NO to these!

Say YES to the squirrel cage style.

Well lessen learned, just purchased a turbo to suck hot air from the exhaust area, next time. Thanks for the heads up Bounty.

+1 on the squirrel cage blower. On top of the silent operation they have a 100% duty cycle which can be ran 100% of the time which I do. If my boats engines are on so are the blowers. You can't really do that with the inline turbo type blowers.

              You are welcome.

              Quick story:

A good friend of mine owns and operates a Marine Salvage Yard. He buys/sells boats and boat parts....... OMC, Merc and Volvo Penta. Engines, stern drives, small parts, etc etc.

He will not sell any of the used Turbo or In-line bilge blower motors because he knows that the customer will return them in a few days!

              End of story!

By the way...... the squirrel cage units are available in both a standard version and a continuous duty version.

You will pay more for the squirrel cage unit, but you won't be replacing it in the near future!
