  • 2455 Ciera original depth guage replacement??-gctid347803

The small original equipment Standard Horison dash mounted depth guage in my 2455 is cooked!!

Although I do have other depth sounding equipment on board I hate having broken guages in my dash.

Does anyone know of a replacement unit that would use the same size cut out, and simply plug into the existing transducer?

99% of all round DF will fit in that hole. Unfortunately 99 % of transducers made by manufactures are interchangeable. You may want to to contact Standard Horizon to see what transducer you have and if interchangeable with any other brands. If not they are cheap to buy a whole new one and install your self.

    Here's some NOS OEM DF's : http://greatlakesskipper.com/categor...h-finders.html

Mine doesn't work either. Haven't had time to trouble shoot it. seems like there is no power. Gonna check out the wiring to the dash unit first. Any other things to check before I have to break down and get a replacement ?

My last two Bayliners have had broken ones, and I always wonder if it's the transducer or the unit on the helm that is the problem.

Worked on the boat today. found out that the previous owner did a little wiring. He tried to hook up the depth sounder power to the acc. switch ..... did things wrong and it had no power. It turns on now, just have to get her in the water to see if it reads depth.

Sent my gauge back to Standard for repair and they replaced it completely for roughly $75.
