How would one get a wiring diagram for an 89 4cyl 3liter omc cobra

We installed a new starter and can not get power to sign switch. Checked all fuses, and main connector, added elec grease to all connectors and fuses. Cannot find a fusible link. Any help would be appreciated.

There should be 3 red cables at the starter...

1 from the battery, 2 goes to the assist solenoied, 3 goes to the up & down trim solenoid.

2 & 3 cables will have a 50AMP inline fuse each.

Either one of those cable is missing at the starter main lug or 50 amp fuse is blown.

We checked the cables at the starter they are correct, both the fuses are good, the trim lift mechanism works. We are lost as to why we have no power to the sign switch. We looking for any suggestions . Thanks for your interest.

Let's start with simple things.Ohm the fuse to see if it really is good.Clean cable ends at the starter with sand paper,not windex.Take a 12v test light and go to fuse holder.check if there is power at the live end.If not, keep moving up stream.If you got power then check wire and loop connecters at starter for breaks that are inside the wire casing.

Got a master battery switch ? Check the setting.

Kill switch ? Cycle it a few times.

You jump the Slav Solenoid ?

Is the selenide clicking when you turn the key? Is the battery fully charged? I had to start from the basics when mine was acting up. My issue was an old battery. Not enough to do anything except turn on lights in the cabin.

Sign switch meaning your ignition switch I'm assuming

Assist solenoid shouldn't be clicking if there is no power at the ignition switch.

Not the kill switch either.

Could be the main barrel harness corroded or broken loose...

Thanks for all the ideas. We're running them all down, one at a time. Battery is good, it turns over the new started with no problem. All connections at starter, solenoid, fuse connectors have been cleaned and coated with elec grease.. I may have misled you earlier, when I turn the ignition switch, there is nothing, there if no power to the switch. We are now attempting to check continuity of all wires through the Harrell connector.
