Removing or Replacing the teak bulkhead on a 2560.

    Hi all,

First time post on here after much searching around for a similar topic, to no avail. I need some advice/direction on how to remove rotted sections of the teak bulkhead and plywood panels on my 2560. Any help would be greatly appreciated. For topic sake, the previous owner installed a louvered window in the panel to the head of the quarter berth and did not seal or maintain this area, so I am in the predicament we have today of having to piece in a new one. Aloha.

It wont be easy. The bulkhead is assembled from tongue and groove with screws coming from inaccessible directions with the bulkhead installed. The plywood is installed like the windows, using strips and screws , but the actual structure is another matter

So, have you tried this? I did notice I could get to the panel if I removed the door frame.
