      • I have to ask.... what is a 85single prop?
      • The AQ series Volvo Penta did not port the exhaust thru the prop. Merc does!
      • Need at least an engine/drive model number, or perhaps some good photos.

I will go Rick one better. You literally gave us nothing to work with. We need year, model, size, and engine that your boat has. Don't just say you have a volvo penta. What VP do you have?

WE're happy to help you, but we're not clairvoyant.

Oh, and I will infer the model year is 1985 from the gibberish you posted. That means you're running an AQ series Volvo. Whoever told you the props are interchangable with Merc is on crystal meth. They are NOT interchangable, and you need to stop going to whatever business gave you that info because they are likely to screw something else up.

          Yes I figured he meant it is a 1985. Wouldn't that be a 270 or 275?

I think we don't have to be harsh. But we do need more info as to what model boat and outdrive.

            Ah.... that makes sense!

Short of the 250 and 270, he can use either the long or short hub prop for the Aquamatic Drives.

250/270, the long hub does not work.

Sorry, this is as non-harsh as I get for a Monday morning without caffeine.

How did you get your trailer and boat to stay upside down for the photo? I would have thought that to be near impossible!

Look at your prop shaft and spinner (aka cone nut).

Does it use the center locking bolt.... and/or is the prop shaft internally threaded for the keeper bolt?

If so, you have a 275 drive, in which case you can use either the short or long hub propellers.

Regardless of what anyone may tell you, you will be using the short spacer/line cutter.

The prop has ZERO to do with the spacer/line cutter length.

                  .

Now we're talking. 1985 2160 Trophy with the AQ125 engine.

Drop those specs to any prop shop, and they should be able to recommend you a prop.

I believe the 4 bangers ran a 14 inch diameter prop, and given the size, I'd speculate 17 inches in pitch.

Cross reference that with a good prop shop. And speaking of....here ya go:
