    Hino WO6D 250 Replacement - Looking for-gctid809919

RE: I purchased a Bayliner 4387, twin Hino diesel.

    Hi,

I have a Hino WO6D, 250 HP diesel, that is in pieces, and the head is missing; see photos of what's left. The other twin looks good.

Where can I find a replacement engine? Is it practical to re-build what I have? I found Hino parts company that can supply the head $2,700.

Thanks in advance for your most wise replies!

Contact Earl the "Baylinerguru" aka Earl International. He is the ultimate resource for all things Hino. Smitty477 is also excellent. Looking past the surface rust, it may be rebuildable but will probably need to come out of the boat. Often, Hinos can be rebuilt in place but there's so much rust, albeit minor, that I would want to do some serious rust removal and component testing.

Yes Earl is your best bet. He does in frames on the Hinos. In your case however, you may need to pull the engine. He also sometimes has some used engines.

The only other option would be a full repower.
