    Crusader 454 alarm-gctid809431

Hi Crusader guru's. quick question here, the buzzer when starting the engine, does this only alarm for low oil pressure or does it also alert for overheat (temp)?

    Thanks

My prior boat with 454s alarmed at High Temp one time due to shut seawater valves (heat exchangers/radiator). I could see the steam coming from the engine room (coolant). I quickly opened the valves and motored slowly back to my slip. No damage to impellers but a good lesson.

Low oil pressure SHOULD be the only one when starting.

For that year Crusader you also have a high temp switch on the trans - that will also trigger the buzzer if the trans gets hot.
