    Engine safety relay-gctid809020

The engine safety switch quit working. I got a replacement thanks to a link from members on this forum. Installed yesterday and still will not engage the starter. All wiring matched to old plug and play. Question as to why it's not working. Maybe a broken wire in the harness somewhere? Would it be safe to run another wire from the key switch to jump this safety solenoid? Any suggestions?

Engine safety switch meaning the kill switch?

Do a continuity test on that new switch, see if it is closing or run a jumper wire , simply connect 2 wires together.

Perhaps it is something else down the line...

No, it;s the engine safety solenoid/switch, mounted on the rear of the HINO 175;s. Attached a jumper and it allows engine to start. but, jumper souldn;t be needed. its a new switch. How can I energize the switch to test?
